This evening the Stogie Press Smoking Lounge had some friends over to sample the Bow Tie Cigars – Copper Label Medium stick.

We are appreciative of Billie R. King, Jr. from Bow Tie Cigars for providing the samples for this review.

You can view the video review of this wonderful cigar here.

The Bow Tie Cigar company is a young up and coming cigar brand based out Belleville , IL.

Bow Tie Cigars currently has one blend  – The Copper Label.

According to their website www.bowtiecigar.com:

Constructed in the Dominican Republic, this cigar was born out of the cultures of five countries, which makes it extremely complex.  It is a medium bodied smoke and is savory to the taste buds.  As with every other BOW TIE cigar, this one is completely hand-rolled from all long-filler tobaccos.  Wrapped in a Brazilian wrapper, this cigar completely fulfills the intentions of the master blender that originally created it.  Simply put, IT IS A GREAT SMOKE, full of FLAVOR and very SMOOTH on the finish!!!!

The Copper Label Medium is constructed with  a 5 country filler consisting of Nicaraguan, Columbian, Brazilian, Peruvian and Dominican tobaccos. It has a Dominican Olor Binder and is wrapped in a very impressive Arapiraca Dark Brazilian wrapper that was just so tasty throughout the burn.

You can see the Mr. Bow Tie Video Here

The Bow Tie Cigars Copper Label Medium comes in three Vitolas:

  • Presidencial (7 X 52)
  • Toro Grande: (6 X 54)
  • Robusto: (5 X 50)

For this review we sampled the Toro Grande provided by Bow Tie Cigars. Thank you Mr. Bow Tie (Bille R. King, Jr.)

Overall as you will see in the video the Copper Label Medium has a nice butter flavor running through it with notes of pepper, caramel, and sweetness.  The burn was great except for one miinor touch up and the ash held strong.
