Do you Agree with the US Allowing Cuban Cigars?

You have all heard the news by now. The US is allowing travelers abroad, to return to the US with Cuban cigars, regardless of where you purchased them. You no longer have to sneak them in and you can bring in up to 100, duty free, as long as the value is less than $800.00.

So the question is – Do you agree with this?

  • While I’m no expect on Cuban domestic policy I haven’t perceived a significant change in their politics from what existed when the embargo was put in place. But then again, today’s US government has far fewer principles than it did then, doesn’t it?

    • Very true. But then again as you say the embargo does not seem to have worked. The definition of insanity – Doing the same thing and expecting a different result. ?

  • It’s a horrible decision for B&M shops here. If you are going to make Cuban cigars legal, make them legal for the shops here in the states to sell them as well. And make the Cubans subject to the same FDA nonsense that everyone else has to abide by.
