We have been waiting for it – The Moya Ruiz IL Ridotto

Last year at the IPCPR, the Moya Ruiz team teased us all with a new blend – the IL Ridotto.  The name translates into “The Private Room” . IL RIDOTTO was the first public legal casino in Venice. We noted back then:

If the Rake set the bar,  the IL RIDOTTO has can be expected to be another great introduction by this fine boutique cigar company.

Well, the show came and went last year and only a select number of retailers got their hands on this cigar. But that is all changed for this year. As an “in production” cigar, the IL Ridotto will be added to the Moya Ruiz lineup and will ship to retailers nationwide.

In case you missed last years announcement, let me recap for you:

The IL Ridotto blend is described as:

  • Wrapper -Brazilian Habano
  • Binder – Nicaraguan
  • Filler – Nicaraguan

It will be available in two vitolas each packed in 20-count boxes:

  • Biribi (5 x 52) MSRP $8
  • Basetta (6 x 52) MSRP $8.20

If you are curious about the names of the vitolas, they are derived from European gambling games; Biribi is a french style lottery and Basetta is a 16th century Italian high-stakes card game.
