FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

January 1, 2017 – Melbourne, FL

Happy New Year everyone. Now that 2016 has come to a close we would like to announce the Stogie Press Top 25 Boutique Cigars of 2016. It should be noted that not every cigar on the market was sampled by us but of the many we did enjoy, these stood out as the best.

Stogie Press would like to thank our sponsors – El Artista, El Yayabo, MLB Cigar Ventures, Dominican Big Leaguer (DBL) and Valentia for their support. We would also like to thank all our followers and subscribers, for without you, we would be just a lost site in the clouds.

2017 will be a challenging year for the cigar industry. We all hope, level heads prevail in the new administration, and the FDA rolls back the overbearing regulations on the industry we love so much. As you will see in the list below, there are some amazing cigars from small companies that work hard every day, to bring you, the consumer, the innovative blends your palate craves. So the next time you are in your local shop be sure to support the boutique cigar industry and try something new, it might just surprise you!

Without further ado, here is the Stogie Press Top 25 Boutique Cigars of 2016.

Coming in at #1 is the El Yayabo Cirion

Yayabo Cirion

Yayabo Cirion

Congratulations to Diany Perez and the El Yayabo team.

El Yayabo may be a brand you are not familiar with, but every person I shared this cigar with has given it nothing but the highest of praise. If you are a shop owner I highly recommend reaching out to the Diany Perez on her Facebook page to bring the El Yayabo line in, your customers will certainly be pleased.

It should also be noted that of these top 25 cigars, 3 of them hail from Noel Rojas’s New Order of the Ages (NOA) factory in Estelí, Nicaragua which is a joint venture between Noel Rojas and Renegade Cigars owner, Brandon Hayes. These are the Jas Sum Kral, Ohana Pulse, and Que Vida. We certainly are looking at what NOA and these boutique brands have to offer in the coming years.
