Cigar News: Kennedy (T.K.) Achille Launches Black Smoke Magazine

After months of teasing the industry, Kennedy Achille, the founder of Black Smoke Miami, Stogie TV and CigarEducated has finally announced and launched his latest project – Black Smoke Magazine. The new magazine is presented in both print and digital formats and is declared as the first Black Owned Cigar Magazine in the industry. The magazine will be available by subscription only.

The inaugural issue of Black Smoke Magazine features the “Queen of The South” – Christine Morgan, an Iconic figure in the cigar industry. The featured article highlights her story of success and how she identifies her purpose as leader in a Male-dominated industry.

The issue also features FURR DE RO CIGARS owned by DeRon A. Furr a Cincinnati native, who as a young man growing up couldn’t afford the things made from leather, never owned a leather jacket, leather backpack nor leather luggage. In 2015, DeRon decided to share his passion for Leather, Cigars and a Social Lifestyle to everyone on his online store furrdero.com.

BLACK STAR LINE CIGARS

Black Star Line Cigars are also featured in the inaugural issue of Black Smoke Magazine. The cigar line is the dream come true of Adetola “Aric” Wimberly-Bey, a Chicago Firefighter by trade, Aric started the idea of having a cigar company in the garage of his house. His love and knowledge of the leaf encouraged him to fulfill his dreams. The company may be best known for their acclaimed War Witch cigar

LAVELLA’S EVENTS

The issue also highlights LAVELLA’S EVENTS owned by Virginia native and Cigar Enthusiast – Shanika Smith. Her company was founded in 2010 and is a major player in corporate event planning. She is an experienced, and dedicated event planner. Shanika’s addictive character and colorful personality allow her clients to stay at ease knowing their event will be one to remember for years to come.

T.K. Explained that Black Smoke Magazine will be issued quarterly with the same print and digital format of the inaugural issue. He also stated:

“...though it is called Black Smoke Magazine, it will not be solely focused on black owned businesses but a majority of the content will be.

You can order a collectors edition of the inaugural issue for $29.99 on the company’s website until January 1, 2022. Yearly subscription price is yet to be determined.
