Cigar News: Crowned Heads Will Debut “CHG (Crowned Heads Court) Serie E” at 2021 PCA

Crowned Heads announced today, that it will debut “CHG (Crowned Heads Court) Serie E” at the upcoming 2021 PCA Convention & Trade Show to be held in Las Vegas, July 9-13.

The CHG Serie E blend was sonically inspired by the instrumental rock guitar solo, “Eruption,” performed by Eddie Van Halen, from the album, “Van Halen” released on February 10, 1978.

As Crowned Heads co-founder, Jon Huber explains:

“I listened to that solo and saw it as a sonic metaphor for smoking this cigar. From the drum and bass intro, which I saw as the cutting lighting-prep of the cigar, to the mixing of triads and harmonics which I compared to the complexity of the flavor profile, to the bottoming-out dive bombs that was reminiscent of the finish of the cigar, it all paralleled seamlessly. The CHG Serie E smoking experience is a medium-plus-bodied dance on the edge between technical mastery and random entropy, resolving in a balanced, melodious harmony.”

CHG Serie E has a blend described as:

  • Wrapper – Ecuadorian (Habano Oscuro)
  • Binder – Nicaraguan binder (Jalapa)
  • Filler – Nicaragua (Pueblo Nuevo, Ometepe, and Jalapa)

The CHG Serie E is manufactured at Tabacalera Pichardo in Esteli, Nicaragua, the factory behind other Crowned Heads brands including Juarez, Mil Dias, and The Lost Angel TAA 2021 Exclusive.

CHG Serie E will be packaged in 20-count boxes, and will be available in four vitolas:

  • Hermoso No. 2: 6 1/8″ x 48
  • 5150: 5 1/2″ x 50
  • Petite Edmundo: 4 3/8″ x 52
  • Sublime: 6 1/2″ x 54

The retail price range will be $10.25 to $12.25 per cigar, and the new line will begin shipping August 2021.
