Many of you are probably familiar with B.A.M.F. Cigars, owned by Ismael R. Olivan and if you are not, you may want to check out some his craft. The man blends cigars with some special worldwide tobaccos that offer a unique smoking experience. You may not know that he recently opened a new cigar lounge at the Palm Beach Polo Golf and Country Club in Wellington, FL.
I recently returned from the Grand Opening of the B.A.M.F. Cigars Lounge after seeing the work-in-process, over the past few months, and it turned out amazing. The lounge is situated right next to the Cugini Winery and Restaurant.
The event started around 1PM as we were greeted with a tour of the finished lounge that includes a bar and seating area, a private member room, a walk-in humidor, and outdoor seating to enjoy the warm sunny Florida days just off the golf course.

Welcome and Thank You
The Humidor
Unlike most lounges you may frequent, the B.A.M.F. Lounge only carries brands that are produced at the company’s factory in the Dominican Republic and those of friends of the brand. I will say though, the humidor has cigars that should please anyone’s palate. Brands like Brothers Smokin Stogies, Cigar Clowns, Family by Loyalty, Angry Beaver and of course the full collection of B.A.M.F. cigars. They also have a separate cabinet that stores flavor infused cigars.
The Lounge
The lounge itself has a castle like feel to it. The lighting inside is dim and the walls have a cement facia throughout. There are multiple areas toto he lounge. The primary area includes a small bar that serves beer and wine from the Cugini Winery. They also offer wine based cocktails using special wine based liquors from the winery. There are numerous tables and in the primary area to relax with friends.
A secret doorway disguised as a set of shelves opens up to the private Members Only lounge area that is decked out with large table and chairs, a chandelier leather seating, flat screen television, and numerous stuffed fowl.
Lastly, there is an event room that has a sound system and dance floor.
Fun For All in Attendance
The Grand opening event was well attended by numerous friends and family including a number of cigar brand owners. Everyone was congenial and having a terrific time, sharing stories and congratulating Ish and his wife for creating an amazing experience.
Food & Drink
An event like this is not complete without some food and drink. There was an array of light appetizers served up along with a BAMF Cigars cake. Drinks were served up both in the main lounge bar and an out side bar. The food, though simple, was delicious and I certainly had a second helping later in the day.
The Music Entertainment
Musical entertainment was provided by a guitar duet known as Gitano Urbano. They had a unique Spanish guitar sound and even played a rendition of Hotel California that got my attention as they did it Spanish style and even sang the song in Spanish. The music was presented primarily as background and did not over power the conversations going on amongst the attendees.
In Closing
I have to say, if you are in the Palm Beach FL area, I suggest you stop into the B.A.M.F Cigar Lounge and take some time to chill in the Florida sun. The country club has Sunday Polo matches, so that makes for a fun afternoon. You can even close out the evening with dinner at the Cugini Winery next door.
