Artesano Del Tobacco has announced today, that their national and international distribution agreement with AJ Fernandez Co. has come to end in January 2023. This was a planned departure based on a 5-year contractual agreement. Artesano Del Tobacco will start to independently distribute their own cigars through a distribution warehouse in Doral, FL.
The company notes that Viva La Vida cigars and EL Pulpo cigars will continue to be made by AJ Fernandez in Nicaragua in addition to new projects in the future.
Billy & Gus of Artesano Del Tobacco stated:
“We are grateful for an amazing job AJ Fernandez organization did for our cigar brand Viva La Vida , we are grateful for the amazing opportunity Abdel Fernandez gave us when he took our brand Viva La Vida 5 years ago and passionately introduced it to the market nationally and internationally. We are forever grateful for Abdel Fernandez and his team. Our relationship with Abdel is built on friendship, brotherhood, and most importantly selfness .”
Through a fusion of inherited techniques and patience, AJ has developed proprietary tobacco grown from the most prized seeds harvested exclusively on his family farms. Perhaps the most essential quality of an AJ Fernandez cigar is not tangible. It is passion and discipline that motivates AJ to produce world renown premium cigars. The motivation that flows and radiates from AJ are contagious and palatable throughout all the artisans who hone their craft and skills under his hands-on tutelage throughout Nicaragua. All these attributes stem from humble beginnings in San Luis, Pinar del Rio, Cuba where the Fernandez family heritage began.
