American Viking Cigars has announced the release of Unkillable, the company’s first true full-strength Maduro and one of its most personal projects to date. The new release launched Monday, January 12, represents a return to an original vision first conceived in 2020: a dark, powerful cigar designed to deliver strength without sacrificing complexity.
Wrapped in a Nicaraguan Habano Oscuro from the Jalapa Valley, Unkillable is built on an all-Nicaraguan core, featuring a Nicaraguan binder from Estelí and fillers from Ometepe, Condega, Jalapa, and Estelí.
The company states that the result is a full-bodied blend that balances intensity with refinement, offering a profile of dark chocolate, cocoa, leather, and oak, layered with depth and evolution throughout the smoke.
Tim Swanson, founder of American Viking Cigars notes:
“This is what Dama Valada was originally meant to be back in 2020. At the time, we were chasing an oscuro fuerte blend, but the blender created a Habano Rosado that completely swept us off our feet. That cigar became something special—but the original goal stayed with us. That goal has now been realized with Unkillable.”
Unlike the Box Pressed Rebellion, which emphasized balance and approachability, Unkillable leans fully into strength while maintaining composure and complexity. It is intentionally bold, designed for smokers who appreciate power delivered with precision.
The name Unkillable serves as a tribute to cigar makers themselves—an acknowledgment of the persistence required to succeed in an industry defined by long timelines, high risk, and unforgiving margins.
Swanson added:

Unkillable will be packaged in 20 count cabinet boxes and available in two sizes:

The cigar will be available beginning Monday, January 12, 2026, through select retailers and authorized online partners.
