Cigar News: Boutique Cigar Association (BCA) Sells Out Pavilion Space at the 2023 PCA Trade Show

The Boutique Cigar Association (BCA) and the Premium Cigar Association (PCA) are proud to announce a groundbreaking collaboration that aims to empower small family owned boutique cigar companies in showcasing their products at the prestigious PCA Trade Show.

Over the past two years, the BCA and PCA have worked together tirelessly to develop an innovative concept and platform that addresses the challenges faced by small companies with limited budgets and staffing constraints.

President of the BCA Armen Caprielian stated,

“There is a famous quote that says, ‘There is no stability without solidarity and no solidarity without stability.’ For way too long, our industry has negated to develop a gateway for new enterprise to flourish, the BCA Pavilion addresses these concerns. “

Introducing the Boutique Cigar Pavilion, a dedicated area on the trade show floor where BCA member companies will have the opportunity to attend, support the PCA, and exhibit their exceptional products. This collaborative effort between the BCA and PCA demonstrates their commitment to both the growth of small boutique cigar businesses and the advocacy for the premium cigar industry as a whole.

Dr. Gaby Kafie. founder and current treasurer of the BCA and owner of Kafie 1901 Cigars, expressed his enthusiasm for this new initiative, stating:

“It has always been the goal of every small boutique cigar company to be able to exhibit at the PCA Trade Show. Through the Boutique Cigar Pavilion, we have come together as a community to support the PCA while gaining more exposure for our brands. It’s a win-win partnership.”

This year (2023) marks the inaugural year of the Boutique Cigar Pavilion at the PCA Trade Show, and it has already surpassed expectations. Initially aiming for 12 member companies to participate, the BCA now proudly boasts a total of 18 companies, with 15 already registered and having paid for their booths. This exciting development not only reflects the positive momentum within the boutique cigar industry but also underscores the challenges faced by small producers amidst regulatory headwinds.

The following brands will be at the SOLD out BCA Pavilion

In a united front, the BCA and PCA aim to convey a resounding message to federal and state regulators that premium cigars deserve distinct treatment from other combustible tobacco products. Dr. Gaby Kafie initially met with PCA leadership during the 2022 PCA Trade Show, sowing the seeds of this collaboration. This 2023, thanks to an extremely hard working and passionate Board it will come to fruition.

The BCA urges all retailers attending the trade show to visit the Pavilion and engage with the vendors. Who knows, you might just discover the next great brand for your store.

The BCA extends its heartfelt gratitude to the exceptional Board of Directors and the remarkable leadership of the PCA for making this collaboration a reality. This pivotal moment highlights the unprecedented unity within our industry in supporting family owned premium cigar companies, both large and small.
