WikiCigar.org has been officially launched. The new wiki based website is a repository of all things related to cigars and the cigar community.
The website, a project of Cigartech.org, features articles on over 5 thousand cigars and every cigar related page from Wikipedia. The site operates in much the same way as that online encyclopedia, with the ability of content creators to post and modify their own information.
Steve Newman, Founder of WikiCigar (and CigarTech) said:
“We are very excited to share this online resource with the cigar community as part of the larger CigarTech.org mission. This Wikipedia Style resource has the potential to become the definitive resource to minimize disinformation and maximize factual knowledge about cigars and the cigar community.”
Cigartech.org also features a number of helpful resources for the cigar community.
Steve Newman is the owner of CigarTech.org along with a number of informative Cigar related Facebook Groups. Steve is a Data Scientist by profession and has thrown his passion of cigars and data science into creating WikiCigar. He hopes that many in the cigar community will help contribute to WikiCigar and grow it as a source of much needed valid cigar knowledge.
