DBL Cigars is excited to announce they are releasing two new cigars at the PCA 2025 trade show in New Orleans. Each of the releases will be available with two wrapper options, Mexican Sun Grown Habano or Mexican Sun Grown San Andreas Maduro.
Chengo
Chengo is the name of the first release. This cigar is named after DBL’s lead farmer who oversees the farming operations at the company’s tobacco farms in the Cibao Region of the Dominican Republic. He has been with the company since their inception and has been instrumental in growing their new Dominican hybrid tobacco, T-13, which is used in the filler blend of this cigar.
The Chengo has a blend described as:
- Wrapper: Mexican Sun Grown Habano or Mexican Sun Grown San Andreas Maduro
- Binder: Sumatra
- Filler: All Dominican, including the new T-13
The Chengo is expressed in a single (6 x 52) vitola and is described as Full Strength and Full Body. Contruction includes a closed foot and a pigtail cap. MSRP has been at $13.00/cigar.
The company notes:
“The strength and black pepper spice of this cigar is new to Dominican grown tobacco and is sure to evoke emotions never before experienced. The closed foot will provide a punch of flavor on the palate and a sweet aroma on the nose from the very first light.“
12th Anniversary
DBL Cigars is celebrating their 12th year in the premium cigar business and has created a special cigar to commemorate the company’s anniversary with the DBL 12th Anniversary.
The blend of the DBL 12th Anniversary. is described as:
- Wrapper: Mexican Sun Grown Habano or Mexican Sun Grown San Andreas Maduro
- Binder: Organic Corojo ’99 Cuban seed grown on the DBL Tobacco Farm
- Filler: Organic Criollo ’98 Cuban seed and Organic Carbonell
Francisco Almonte, owner of DBL Cigars notes:
“According to master smokers in the Dominican Republic, the 12th Anniversary is the best cigar that DBL has ever made and one of the best ever to come out of the Dominican Republic”
Expressed in a single box pressed (5 7/8 x 56) vitola and is described as Medium to Full in Strength and Full Body. Contruction is finished with a pigtail cap. MSRP has been at $13.00/cigar.
