Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust announced today that Purveyors of their products have been notified that the Pre-Order Window for the upcoming Solita “Red” release is now open. This is the latest rendition of the company’s acclaimed Sobremesa blend.
The full blend is described as:
- Capa: Ecuador Habano Grade 1 Dark Rosado
- Capote: San Andreas Negro
- Tripa: Nicaraguan & Pennsylvania
Expressed in a (6.25 x 46) Parejo, the Solita “Red” will come in a 13-count Semi-Dressed FBN Box. The cigars have been aged for 1 year and are described as Medium-Full. The company has not stated what the MSRP will be.
The new limited production vitola is reserved for the company’s Solita stocking accounts. It is a more robust adaptation of the core blend that provides a bolder smoking experience while retaining its wonderfully complex flavors and aromas such as cedar, cocoa and café, which is punctuated by a tellicherry peppercorn retrohale.
In a Facebook post, Steve Saka noted:
“PEOPLE – this is for MARCH 2025 – it is just to remind our Purveyors to reserve them – we don’t charge anyone anything now, but if they don’t get on the list it is very unlikely they will receive any when we do drop them… so stop your crying, plus in the end I am just saving you from spending your hard earned cash on inferior options… now, go sell one of those kidneys because I am going to CRUSH in 2025! <snicker>“
The company has set an ETA of Late Feb/Early March 2025 – Only accounts that pre-order by Monday, Dec 2nd will receive.
