Founders Cigar Co. has announced a shift in manufacturing and complete update to blend branding with new dynamic coloring, deeper historical references, and clear and concise imagery for each blend. The company will debut the new blends and packaging at the 2023 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) tradeshow located in Las Vegas from July 8-11.
Founders has moved manufacturing of most of their blends to the Tabacalera Las Lavas SRL factory located in The Dominican Republic. Tabacalera Las Lavas is owned and operated by the multi-generational family behind Casa Cuevas Cigars. This shift in manufacturing allows Founders greater access to quality tobaccos, deeper involvement in the blending process, and utilize the factory known for producing cigars for some of the biggest brands and names in the industry.
Angelo Fraboni, Co- Founder of Founders Cigars, noted:
“We’re pumped for this next chapter in the Founders story and couldn’t be happier than to have the knowledge, quality, and expertise from a factory as reputable as the one we’ve chosen. Luis and Alec Cuevas were incredibly generous last year sharing with us the knowledge they have gained over the years growing their own brand. Working with them now as a factory has been incredible to dive into the factory process and learn from such a storied family.“
All but one of the blends (Hamilton Candela) Founders currently offers will now be manufactured by Tabacalera Las Lavas, whereas all 5 blends had previously been manufactured by M.J. Frias in the Dominican Republic.
While in the process of moving factories, Founders Cigar Co wanted to update their bands and boxes and has selected Cigar Package Design’s Humberto Arias to redesign the bands and boxes, giving each blend a vibrant and meaningful presentation.
Founders will be at the PCA tradeshow located in booth #10111.
