At Joya de Nicaragua, we are proud to continue our legacy as Nicaragua’s oldest premium cigar factory by introducing a new vitola to our beloved Clásico Original and Clásico Medio Siglo lines: the Gordito, 4×56. This exciting addition is our way of offering aficionados a richer, more satisfying smoking experience in a short but flavorful format.
The Clásico Original, known as the first Nicaraguan cigar and famously enjoyed in the White House during the Nixon era, upholds its time-honored reputation with impeccable construction and a refined flavor profile. Now, in its Gordito format, its smooth Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper accentuates the balance of its Nicaraguan filler blend, delivering its characteristic creamy smoke with woody notes and subtle hints of pepper in a shorter, more concentrated experience.
The Clásico Medio Siglo, also evolves with the Gordito vitola. Wrapped in a Habano Criollo leaf and filled with select Nicaraguan tobaccos, this mild-to-medium bodied cigar offers a refined combination of spice, wood, and leather, resulting in a smooth yet complex smoking experience.

The Clásico Original Gordito was launched in November 2024. This March 2025, we are excited to introduce this format in the Clásico Medio Siglo line. Both cigars are debuting as a special release for our friends in Spain, who will be the first to experience them before their global launch.
