Cigar News: La Flor Dominicana Unveils Apollonia – A One-Time TAA Exclusive Crafted by Father and Son

La Flor Dominicana proudly announces the release of Apollonia, a one-time TAA-exclusive cigar that tells a personal story of legacy, love, and craftsmanship between father and son.

This release marks the first project led by Tony Gomez in his new role as Vice President of Blend Development and Product Integrity, a natural progression in his evolution as a blender and steward of LFD’s creative future. Apollonia is both a debut and a tribute: a blend built from two personal favorites and shaped by decades of shared experience.

The cigar unites the filler from Tony’s favorite cigar, The Golden, known for its earthy strength and La Canela estate-grown tobaccos, with the binder and refined Cameroon wrapper featured on Litto Gomez’s long-favored Cameroon Cabinet No. 3. The cigar is box-pressed into a sleek Lonsdale format that is elegant and collector-minded.

Tony Gomez shared,

“Apollonia is, to me, a love letter to cigars. The idea was to capture that unique little moment when you first light up the cigar that will eventually become your cigar. Sometimes you see it coming, sometimes it catches you by surprise, but love is love, and you know it when you feel it. Apollonia gave me no doubt.”

Litto Gomez added

“I think it tells a beautiful story and really represents us as a family and company. What we do is for the love of cigars, that is our identity before anything else”.

Previewed at this year’s TAA Convention in Casa de Campo, Apollonia was met with strong praise from attending retailers, who immediately recognized its emotional gravity and limited-edition value.

Only 1,000 boxes of 24 cigars have been produced. Now shipping to TAA retailers with an MSRP of $20 per cigar.
