Earlier this year when testing the blends for our core lines, this particular one caught our attention … Immediately after lighting this elegant cigar, we experienced flavors that immediately connected with memories of the many sweet and savory treats we enjoy around the holidays. We knew this would be one we wanted to share with fellow cigar enthusiasts. Dad’s favorite fish to eat was the Walleye pike at a Friday night fish fry, and it seemed fitting since this cigar has become one of our favorite blends in our portfolio.”
The Jolly Walleye” is an ultra-premium (5.5 x 52) robusto extra cigar featuring an oily, medium brown Habano 2000 wrapper over an Ometepe binder, and a trio of Nicaraguan filler tobaccos. The strength is described as medium-plus, and full of flavor.
The company further notes:
“Your palate will encounter notes of buttery salted caramel, light cedar, honey graham cracker, baking spices, espresso, and a touch of chili pepper. This cigar produces a thick but soft smoke, and the retrohale compliments the blend by not being too peppery. This cigar delivers a complex combination of memorable flavors that progress throughout the experience, with a bit of extra joy that lingers on the palate with its long finish. The cigar exhibits excellent construction and combustibility, producing a solid barrel of ash.“
This is the second Limited Edition offering from Lure Cigars following the June release of “The Last Cast” which was made to honor Lou Cross, Jr. the father of Lou Cross III, brand owner. This cigar is intended to be enjoyed with friends and family, during the holiday season and beyond.
