Maya Selva Cigars announced today that they have been honored by Cigar Journal Magazine with the Best Value Award – Honduras, for their Villa Zamorano brand which was rated 92 on Stogie Press and featured in our Must Try Honduran cigars article this year. The prestigious Cigar Trophy Awards are granted each year by Cigar Journal Magazine and today they had their unveiling of the 2020 awards.
The company noted in a press release today:
“We would like to thank the legions of Villa Zamorano smokers who voted for us. We proudly accept this honor on behalf of all of the Honduran workers who do such outstanding good job, from seeding to packaging, to produce these fine quality cigars.“
The Villa Zamorano brand has been a favorite of connoisseurs and aficionados since 2002, when it was first introduced as a bundled cigar. These “puros” are made at the brand-dedicated San Judas Tadeo factory in Danlí, Honduras.
Villa Zamorano cigars are a great basic cigar, hand rolled using the finest tobaccos. Featuring tobacco from the Jamastrán valley, in south-eastern Honduras, this cigar is a genuine expression of the terroir of El Paraíso.
