Greenville, SC based – Stogie Road Cigars™, has announced the release of the Sweet Grass Gringo. This 6 x 52 barber-pole style toro is the secind blend to come out of this small boutique brand and has a blend described as:
- Wrapper – Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade/Nicaraguan Candela
- Binder – Honduran
- Filler – Nicaraguan and Honduran
Like the company’s El Viajante Edicion XXXV , the Sweet Grass Gringo is hand crafted at Tabacalera G. Kafie y Cia factory in Danli, Honduras.
Kerr Viajante, owner of Stogie Road Cigars™ descibed how he has loved candela leaf:
“I fell in love after smoking the Fuente 8-5-8 candela. When Gaby and I were discussing what was next for Stogie Road Cigars™, I wanted to produce a unique barber-pole using candela. Not in the look, but in the flavor; the Sweet Grass Gringo delivers!”
Dr. Kafie also noted,
“Our goal at Tabacalera Kafie is to give each one of our manufacturing partners their proprietary blends, which support and represent their boutique cigar company is a truly special way. This blend does exactly that”.
The Sweet Grass Gringo will be the first release of sister blends using candela in a barber pole-style. All cigars will be produced in small batches and exclusively sold through brick and mortar establishments in the United States. The company is taking pre-orders now.
