The company Brothers Smokin’ Stogies was founded in 2021 with a fine introductory portfolio of premium cigars. Today I would like to offer my review of the Brothers Smokin’ Stogies – Espirit de Corps Corona.

Brothers Smokin’ Stogies – Espirit de Corps Corona

The cigar is expressed in a single (6 x 46) corona vitola and has an MSRP of $12.00/cigar. They are also available in 5 packs with price of $55.00/pack.

The blend of the Espirit de Corps is described as:

  • Wrapper: San Andres
  • Binder: Olor Dominicano
  • Filler: Ligero IT-13, Viso Criollo 98, Seco Olor Dominicano & Seco Criollo 98

The company uses the Rodriguez Olivan Cigar Factory in the Dominican Republic to hand craft their cigars.

For this review, I sampled two of the Espirit de Corps Corona’s which I both purchased and received from the company for the purpose of reviewing on Stogie Press.

Pre-Light Examination

The Brothers Smokin’ Stogies – Espirit de Corps Corona is a medium reddish-brown cigar. The wrapper exhibits a few bumps and veins along the barrel and is lightly marbled. I found the packing to be fine with no soft spots detected.

A single band adorns the cigar. It proudly displays the company logo in lack on a sky-blue background circled in gold. The name Espirit de Corps is presented in white in a black circle on the right of the band.

Running the Espirit de Corps long the nose, I picked up a baking spice note along the barrel while to foot added additional aromas of nut and peppery spice.

I sliced the cap straight across the shoulder of the cigar and proceeded to give it some cold draw puffs that I found to be decent, just a tad on the open side. The draw offered a quickly evolving black pepper and a sprinkle of saltiness.

Using my single flame lighter, I warmed the foot to an even orange glow and drew in a very pleasant berry note to start the journey. Follow along as I burn this one to ash.

Final Analysis

From the very first lit puffs, the Brothers Smokin’ Stogies – Espirit de Corps Corona reveals a burst of berry notes that come forward brightly and unmistakably, setting an intriguing tone. Almost immediately after, a bold wave of pepper spice strikes the palate, bringing a sharp contrast that grabs attention. A touch of dry leather enters the profile, lending a grounding, more mature nuance to the early burn.

As the cigar transitions into the second third, deeper earthy tones begin to emerge, layering in complexity and richness. Subtle hints of dried fruit begin to weave through the flavor profile at this stage, adding a quiet sweetness that plays off the lingering spice. Midway through, the cigar hits its crescendo as sweet, nutty oak notes take the spotlight. This combination provides a warm, satisfying center to the experience. From there, the oak and spice continue their duet all the way to the finish, where the smoke closes with a lingering note of toasted nuts. This worth grabbing a fiver of. I rate this a 90.

Point Deductions: (-1) Flat but Centered Burn Cone; (-1) Journey peaked midway; (-1) Wavy Burn but no touchups; (-1) Flaky ash
