Who likes S’mores? You know – the campfire treat made from Graham Cracker, Hershey Chocolate, and toasted marshmallow?
Well Ryan Frank Rodriguez from Ohana Nui Cigars has been selling these amazing little (4 x 44) gems known as Toasted Marshmallows since 2024. Now enter 2026 and the company entered the new year with a special edition Lonsdale vitola of both the Connecticut and Maduro blend and they are now blended and handcrafted at Origen Cigars S.A. in Nicaraguan. I won’t lie, I liked the shorty but always felt that once I was done with it, I found myself lighting up another. So, having a Lonsdale offering got my attention and interest to see how the blend held up in a longer, (7 x 44) vitola.

Before we get deep into the review, let’s recap the basics. The blend is described as:
- Wrapper – Mexican San Andrés
- Binder – Nicaragua
- Filler – Nicaragua (Condega, Jalapa)
As noted, this special edition is expressed in a (7 x 44) Lonsdale vitola and comes packaged in 20-count boxes with an MSRP of $12.00/cigar.
For this review, I sampled 2 of the Ohana Nui Toasted Marshmallows Lonsdale maduros, which I received from the company for the purpose of reviewing on Stogie Press.
Pre-Light Examination
Like the original petit corona, the Ohana Nui Cigars Toasted Marshmallows Lonsdale Maduro is beautiful, toothy dark brown cigar with a fine oily sheen. The wrapper exhibits minimal veins and the barrel has some bumps through it. The cigar feels well packed to the pinch. Construction is completed with simple cap.

The band is simple. Black and white with a simple cartoon image of a marshmallow in the center and and the name “Toasted Marshmallow” on the sides. Yep, nothing fancy, just put the money in the blend on this one.

Running the cigar along the nose I picked up barnyard notes along the barrel and rich chocolate and nutty notes off the foot. This pre-light aroma is enticing for sure.
I slice the cap straight across the shoulder of the cigar and gave it some cold draw puffs that I found to be excellent with restriction and offered notes of burnt caramel, pepper, and a touch of natural sweetness. Certainly getting close to a S’mores.
Using my single flame torch, I warmed the foot and drew in the first puffs of meaty and spicy notes to start the journey. Follow along as I burn this Marshmallow to ash.

Final Analysis

The Ohana Nui Cigars Toasted Marshmallows Lonsdale Maduro journey begins with meaty and spicy notes, creating a bold and savory opening – a bit surprising considering the softer pre-light notes. As the cigar settles in, a touch of cream begins to evolve within the early mix, softening the initial intensity. Near the end of the first third, a slow introduction of dark chocolate emerges, adding depth and balance to the profile. (now we are starting to feel that S’mores sensation).
Moving into the second third, graham cracker notes join the mix, lending a pleasant, bready sweetness. The initial spiciness transitions into a more refined cinnamon note, wrapped in a subtle caramel sweetness that carries nicely through this portion of the cigar. Deep into the second third, the earlier dark chocolate morphs into a cocoa powder–like note, offering a drier, more nuanced expression of chocolate.
As the cigar approaches the final third, the creamy component remains present, maintaining continuity in the profile. A touch of cedar joins the mix near the finish, adding structure and a light woody accent as the cigar closes out with balance and restraint. Grab a five pack of these and give them a try. I rate this a 92.
Point Deductions: (-1) Early and often Ash Drops; (-1) Slightly off-centered burn cone
