Released in 2022, the Rojas Cigars Unfinished Business is one of the latest releases from Noel Rojas. The unfinished business is one of the first to be rolled in Noel’s new factory in Estelí, Nicaragua. The name I feel is self-explanatory, as Noel has made some amazing inroads in the premium cigar industry and knowing him, he has certainly plenty of unfinished business to address in the years to come. Or maybe it is named this because of the unfinished foot.
The blend of the Unfinished Business is described as:
- Wrapper – Ecuadorian Sumatra
- Binder – Nicaraguan
- Filler – Nicaragua and Mexico
Self described as the King of Small Guage (KSG) cigars, Rojas has expressed the Unfinished Business in 4 vitolas, each packaged in 16-count boxes:
- Mareva (5 1/8 x 42) – MSRP $6.98
- Robusto (5 x 50) – MSRP $8.50
- Toro (6 x 50) – MSRP $9.98
- Corona Gorda (6 x 46) – MSRP $9.98
For this review, I sampled two of the Rojas Cigars Unfinished Business Corona Gordas, which I received from the company for the purpose of reviewing on Stogie Press.
Pre-Light Examination
The Rojas Cigars Unfinished Business sports a medium brown, lightly toothy wrapper. The cigar packed firm and exhibits just a few veins. There is a slight oily sheen to the wrapper. The cigar is finished with a double cap and a semi-finished foot.
Two bands adorn the cigar. The primary band uses a jet black and copper motif and boldly displays the Rojoas Cigars logo. The left side states “Noel Rojas” and the right side declares “TOTALMENTE HECHO A MANO”. The secondary band is a thin, using the same motif and declares this as the “Unfinished Business”.
Running the cigar along the nose I picked up a mild barnyard aroma along the barrel while the foot did not exude much to the nasals.
Using my CigarMedics Baller cutter, I opened the cap perfectly and gave it some cold draw puffs that offered immediate almondine noted and some light pepper notes, This was quite a tasty surprise!
Using my single flame torch, I warmed the foot to an even orange glow and drew in the first puffs of dark cocoa and almond notes. Man, this is getting better the more I write about it. Follow along as I burn this one to ash.

Final Analysis
The Rojas Cigars Unfinished Business right off the initial light delivers an exquisite explosion of rich, velvety dark cocoa and tantalizing almond smoke, enveloping the senses in a truly indulgent experience. The intensity of flavors is complemented by a gentle touch of mild spice that gracefully intertwines with the initial profile, heightening the overall complexity. As the smoking journey progresses into the second third, the woody notes emerge, offering a delightful interplay of earthy tones that adds a refined depth to the blend. Surprisingly, the presence of malt notes emerges, further enhancing the overall pleasure and contributing to a profound and satisfying experience. As the spice notes intensify, dark chocolate flavors enter that captivate the palate. The harmonious interplay of spices and chocolate creates a symphony of taste sensations, further enhancing the complexity of the cigar. As the journey draws to a close, a subtly generic nut presence emerges, bringing the journey to a satisfying conclusion. This is certainly any enthusiast would and should enjoy and I say this is a box. I rate this a 93.
