Introduced at the 2025 PCA Trade Show, the Mr. Sinistro is Sinistro Cigars’ newest release. This now makes five different “Mr.” blends from the company (Mr. White, Mr. Red, Mr. Black, Mr. Desflorado, Mr. Sinistro). The Mr. Sinistro cigar is made at the acclaimed Artista Cigars factory in the Dominican Republic which is a recent shift for Sinistro. The company notes that moving to Artista, opened up access to different types of tobacco, with the Mr. Sinistro being a prime example of that.

The Mr. Sinistro blend is described as:
- Wrapper – Ecuadorian habano
- Binder – Pennsylvania broadleaf
- Filler – Paraguay and Dominican Republic, with a mix of Dominican olor ligero, piloto cubano ligero, and corojo ligero.
This latest regular production cigar is expressed in two popular vitolas, each packaged in 20-count boxes:
- Robusto (5 1/2 x 54) — MSRP $10.50
- Toro (6 1/2 x 56) — MSRP $11.50
For this review, I sampled one of the Mr. Sinistro Robustos that I received from the company for the purpose of reviewing on Stogie Press.
Pre-Light Examination
The Sinistro Cigar Mr. Sinistro is a light brown cigar that has a touch of marbling and just a few veins running through the wrapper. The packing is firm with no soft spots. It exhibits a mild sheen and has a decent double cap to finish the construction.

A single black, white and gold band adorns the cigar. It displays a shadowy figure of man with a hat. The figure is presented on a backdrop of a building on a street that have signs calling out the Sinistro District. The name “Mr. Sinistro” is printed in gold on the bottom.

Running the Mr. Sinistro along the nose, I picked up sweet baking spice notes along the barrel and the foot.
Once I sliced cap straight across the shoulder of the cigar, I gave it some cold draw puffs that offers notes of spice and sweetness. It seems Mr. Sinistro is eager to please.
I used my dual flame torch to warm the foot to an even orange glow and drew in the first puffs of peery notes to start the journey. Follow along as burn this one to ash.

Final Analysis

The journey with Mr. Sinistro begins with a bold entrance, as a sharp black pepper note ignites the palate, delivering a lively kick. Almost immediately, a buttery richness glides in to soften the edges, lending a smooth, almost decadent contrast. As the journey continues, a savory medley of spice begins to unfurl, accompanied by a seductive, spicy-fruit aroma that dances from the foot. A touch of dry leather adds a rustic, grounding layer that rounds out the introduction.
Into the second third, a subtle sweetness begins to build in the backdrop, weaving in and out tying together the introductory flavors. Notes of dried fruit appear at the midpoint, introducing a slightly tangy complexity. The aroma gradually shifts from fruit-forward to a nuttier profile while the spice remains ever-present, lingering on the palate.
In the final third, the strength tapers, and the profile softens. The blend mellows considerably, allowing a touch of cream to emerge and harmonize with the fading spice. Mr. Sinistro concludes with poise and refinement, leaving behind a lingering finish that speaks to its complexity and balance. This is worth a box buy and I rate this a 94.
Point Deductions: (-1) Flat but centered Burn Cone; (-1) Wavy burn
Bonus Points (+1) Box Buy; (+1) Pleasurably well balanced profile
