Monsters are really starting to line up now. We dealt with Frank, Drac, Face, and Wolf so far. Today we look at the Tatuaje Cigars 2024 Monster Smash Collection The Mummy. The year 2012 brought us the Tatuaje Mummy, a homage to the iconic clothed wrapped monster the was featured numerous times on the silver screen. The Mummy is the 5th in the company’s Monster series of cigars. Pete Johnson was really getting the hang of this monster thing by now and so were the many fans of the collection.
As you now know, I am reviewing all the monsters in the Tatuaje Cigars 2024 Monster Smash Collection. The 14-count collection has an MSRP is $175.00 but if you search around, you may find them discounted to about $160.00. Pre-Light Examination
The Tatuaje Cigars 2024 Monster Smash Mummy is a silky smooth, shiny medium-brown cigar that is pretty much devoid of veins. The Mummy like all these monsters, is expressed, in a (5 1/4 x 52) box pressed vitola. It is packed from head to foot with no discernable soft spots. The wrapper leaf has a light sheen to it. The cigar is finished with a well applied cap.
As with all Tatuaje Cigars, the Mummy is adorned with a single thin band with the word Tatuaje in the center. In the case of the Mummy, it is a grey band with white lettering which symbolizes the aged cloth wrapping around the Mummy.
The barrel exudes an enticing sweet and pungent aroma while the foot exuded a pleasant nutty note.
I straight cut the cap right across the shoulder of the cigar and proceeded to give the Mummy a few cold draws. My palate was treated to notes of sweet cracker and peanut with a growing peppery spice.
Time to toast the Mummy. I warmed the foot with my Xikar Fan Flame torch, bringing the foot to an even orange glow. As I drew in the first taste of the Mummy, my palate was introduced to notes of sweet cinnamon spice. Follow along as I burn the Mummy to ash.

Final Analysis
The Tatuaje Cigars 2024 Monster Smash Collection The Mummy starts its magnificent, medium strength journey with palate pleasing notes of sweet cinnamon spice. Subtle, yet inviting undertones of dark chocolate enrich the profile. Each draw is smooth, delivering a full-bodied volume of smoke that envelops the palate. Cedar notes elegantly weave into the mix, adding depth to the experience. As the first third draws to a close, a sweet, fruit-like aromas emerge, adding the overall allure. Moving into the second third, the dark chocolate notes deepen, intensifying in richness while sweet cream notes provide a perfect counterbalance. By the latter part of the second third, the pre-light nuttiness reasserts itself, adding complexity to the flavor profile. As the journey reaches the final third, a bold hint of black pepper makes its presence known, rounding out a truly engaging journey of flavors. I can find nothing to deduct form this monster. I rate this a 96.
