Howl at the moon if you will. Today we look at the Tatuaje Cigars 2024 Monster Smash Collection Wolf.
The year 2011 brought us the Tatuaje Wolf, a homage to the Wolfman and the 4th in the company’s Monster series of cigars. As you now know, I am reviewing all the monsters in the Tatuaje Cigars 2024 Monster Smash Collection. The 14-count collection has an MSRP is $175.00 but if you search around, you may find them discounted to about $160.00. As of this writing, if you have a discount code, check Neptune Cigars or check Fox Cigars as they have them for $159.99.

So, read on to see my review of the Tatuaje Cigars 2024 Monster Smash Collection Wolf as I continue my Monster journey.
The Tatuaje Cigars Drac blend is described as:

Pre-Light Examination
The Tatuaje Cigars 2024 Monster Smash Wolf is a silky smooth, dark-brown cigar that has some minimal veins and some marbling through the barrel. The Wolf like all these monsters, is expressed, in a (5 1/4 x 52) box pressed vitola. It is packed from head to foot with no discernable soft spots. The wrapper leaf has a light sheen to it. The cigar is finished with a triple cap.

As with all Tatuaje Cigars, the Wolf is adorned with a single thin band with the word Tatuaje in the center. In the case of the Wolf , it is a brown band with red lettering – though I have read that some say the lettering is orange. perhaps it is and the brown background plays tricks with my eyes.

The barrel exudes an enticing naturally sweet tobacco aroma while the foot exuded an earthy and spice note.
I straight cut the cap with right across the shoulder of the cigar and proceeded to give the Wolf a few cold draws. The Wolf treats the palate to notes of black pepper and toasted cracker and sweetness.
Time to toast the Wolf. I warmed the foot with my Xikar Fan Flame torch, bringing the foot to an even orange glow. As I drew in the first taste of the Wolf, my palate was introduced to notes of sweetness and spice. Follow along as I burn the Wolf to ash.

Final Analysis

The Tatuaje Cigars 2024 Monster Smash Collection Wolf begins with delightful introductory notes of sweetness and spice, creating an inviting start. As the experience progresses, an orange note emerges, adding a vibrant layer to the profile. A hint of citrus rind enhances the orange, offering a mouthwatering, tangy sensation. Deep into the second third, rich spice and caramel notes captivate the palate. However, as it moves into the final stretch, the profile turns slightly bitter. I rate this a 93.
Point Deductions: (-1) Bitter in Final; (-1) Slight wave in Burn
Bonus Points: (+1) Pleasant moderately complex profile with nice transitions
