I had the pleasure of meeting Dirty Fabien, the non-traditional Drew Estate personality, at this years IPCPR. Fabien is the face behind the Drew Estate Isle del Sol. This is not the first time I had the pleasure of talking with Fabien, but this particular year he was grinning like he was the cat that caught the canary. Rightfully so, because there was plenty to talk about especially when it came to the Isle del Sol. You see; Drew Estate not only released a 6 x 60 Gordito vitola for the original Isle de Sol blend, but they also introduced a maduro blend that is infused with cold brew coffee.
Available in 4 vitolas and packaged in 10-count boxes, the Isle del Sol maduro has an easy-on-the-wallet price:
- Robusto 5 x 52, 10 Count Box, MSRP $50
- Toro 6 x 52, 10 Count Box, MSRP $54
- Gran Corona 5 x 44, 10 Count Box, MSRP $46
- Churchill 7 x 50, 10 Count Box, MSRP $58
The company’s press release noted:
“Isla del Sol Maduro by Drew Estate is a premium handmade cigar blended with a rare triple-Nicaraguan-leaf mix, infused with coffee, and wrapped in luscious maduro leaf that’s garnished with a sweetened cap. The infusion process, great burn and draw, cocoa notes and mellow room aroma create an island of joy during the smoke.”
Now — Written words are good — but seeing and hearing from the man himself is even better. So here is a short video of Fabien describing the new Isle del Sol Maduro for your viewing pleasure.
