El Artista Introduces the Big Slugger and Big Papi Humidor

Big PapiNow that football season is over it is time to turn my attention to baseball and my beloved Red Sox. Last year was a pivotal year for the team without the bat of Big Papi in the lineup. I can only think about how many more games they may have won if that bat was there in the clutch moments of some tight games. They still managed to win the American League East title even so.

Well this year the bat is coming back, but this time it is a new Big Papi cigar. That’s right, if you are a Red Sox and cigar fan,  Tabacalera El Artista S.R.L. is releasing a new vitola of the highly rated Big Papi cigar. This time it is called the “Big Slugger”; a baseball bat shaped figurado cigar in a keepsake box with a large display window. Featuring two different wrappers with the familiar Big Papi blend, the cigar can be smoked or displayed.

Made in the Dominican Republic, the Big Slugger retails for $45.00 and will available starting February 1, 2018.

In addition to the Big Slugger,  the company is also offering for sale a Big Papi branded cigar humidor that holds up to 50 cigars. The piece is offered in two SKUs, empty (MSRP: $120) and with 20 cigars (MSRP: $330). The humidor is made in the Dominican Republic and is also available as of February 1, 2018.

In the company;s press release, Radhames Rodriguez, President of El Artista USA stated

“We wanted to produce items that really stand out..Anyone can make a hat or lighter in China. This is something special,”

Kevin Newman National Sales Director added:

“We launched both the Big Slugger and Humidor at Tobacco Plus Expo in Las Vegas and it was a huge hit with premium cigar retailers!”.

Even if you are not a Red Sox fan, I am sure you know at least one who enjoys cigars, and this would be an ideal gift for sure.
