Thursday April 28, 2022 will not soon be forgotten for myself and the many in attendance at the Carnegie Club in New York City, as Freud Cigar Company made its long awaited debut. Named after Sigmund Freud, who was a huge cigar advocate while alive.
Agape Lifestyle Inc who is the parent company of Freud Cigar Company, held its official launch of their new cigar The SuperEgo. It was an amazing event with many people in and around the cigar community in attendance. As if an invite to the World renowned Carnegie Club in New York City wasn’t good enough, to find out you get to sample a brand-new cigar, be treated to an open bar, and have some bomb hors d’oeuvres with some amazing people including the visionary of the brand, Luis Torres was just icing on the cake.
The night started off with an address from philanthropist David Stadnyk who is the founder of Agape Lifestyle Inc, which is the parent company to Freud Cigar Company. His address was followed by none other then Luis Torres. Though the cigar brand is new to the industry, Torres is no stranger to the ever expanding cigar community. He most recently served as CEO of the well known Casa de Montecristo lounges.
With that knowledge he reached out to none other than Master blender Wiber Ventura, who was also in attendance and spoke to the invite only crowd in attendance. While addressing the VIP crowd and talking about a meeting he had with the Freud Cigar team in the Dominican Republic he stated:
“If you want the best, I’ll give you the best”.
The SuperEgo will feature a Dominican/Nicaraguan filler, a Sumatran binder and a Ecuadorian wrapper to finish off this masterpiece. It will be distributed by the well known Illusione Cigar company and will debut on retail shelves this month with 4 different vitolas, each packaged in 10 count boxes, and prices range from $16.00-$18.00 MSRP per cigar .
- 6.5 x 42 Lonsdale
- 5 x 54 Robusto X
- 6 x 52 Toro
- 6 x 60 Magnum
This will be a cigar that will carry a premium cigar price tag, and is sure not to disappoint.
