This year, during the Premium Cigar Association Trade Show in Las Vegas, a number of us cigar loving friends attended the marriage of John Remer and Lina Atie. John is the founder of the Facebook Cigar Group “Johnny Smokes Uncut” and Lina is the CEO of New Tobacco Village in Whitehall, PA. When the couple met it quickly grew into a true love affair. It did not take long before others around recognized not only their love of cigars but love of family and each other. They got engaged back in 2022 and announced, in 2023, that their wedding would be held in Las Vegas during the PCA Trade Show.
This beautiful couple chose to get married at the new Bliss Wedding Chapel, in Vegas and would have nothing less than having it officiated by Elvis! The attendance included a veritable who’s who of the Premium Cigar Industry including Mr. Carlito Fuente Jr. as the Best Man. They kept that a secret until Carlito arrived.
The guests all gathered in the anti-room prior to the ceremony and mingled a bit talking about how beautiful Lina looked and how well John cleans up. The group eventually entered the chapel area, and made our way to the pews. Eventually Elvis arrived and did a few mic checks and then the ceremony started.
The Entrance and the Vows
The doors to the chapel opened and best Man (Carlito Fuente Jr.) and Maid of Honor (Candie McCall Tarsi) walked down the aisle. Then the grand entrance of Lina escorted by Elvis himself. There was some music and introductions and then the most important part – The Vows. These were no normal vows, as you can see in the videos below. they did seal the marriage between Lina and John. After the vows, we gathered about to take some photos before leaving the chapel, but not before Carlito blessed the happy couple with a brief Best Man speech.

In his most loving way, Carlito gave a short but heartfelt speech expressing how much, he knew, they were truly in love.
El Cortez Reception
After the ceremony, we all exited “Stage Left” and headed over to the El Cortez Hotel and Casino for a fun evening of cocktails, conversation, and cigars. There were many other events we could have attended, but those that love this couple made it a Mr. and Mrs. Remer night.
A Most Happy Bride
Lina was certainly a happy bride. The glow in her face lit up the room as she danced and partied with her guests late into the evening.
Best Of Wishes for A Happy Marriage
As a token of their appreciation, everyone at the ceremony received a keepsake casino chip to always remember the happy couple. As for me, I wish Lina and John a long and happy marriage that lasts through their lifetime. I hope they are blessed with the love we all saw this day and may it continue all the days of their lives.
