If you find yourself on vacation or traveling through the Fort Lauderdale, FL area you should stop into the newest cigar lounge to open in the Venice of America. The Mancave cigar lounge is the brainchild of three local businessmen – Brian Berk, Benjamin Grynbaum, and Armando Goenaga . They knew we have a choice when it comes to shops and lounges and they wanted to create a comfortable and friendly place to enjoy a cigar with knowledgeable staff and great prices.
Their website describes it as:
We offer so much to our clientele, from a vast selection of the best legally available cigars in the world, to amazing craft beers, fine wines and ports, to a beautiful, elegant lounge to relax in, & great entertainment, as well as fabulous events. The Mancave Cigar Lounge Ft Lauderdale is truly the one place you can count on to offer you everything you want
The Mancave Cigar Lounge is conveniently located at 2920 E. Commercial Blvd just east of Federal Highway (US-1) and west of the intracoastal causeway. The lounge has been open for just over a month now, and it is, by all accounts, jamming right along. They have over 10,000 cigars on the shelf with a wide selection of brands and the prices are some of the best in the area. In addition to cigars you can enjoy craft beers, fine wines, and aged ports. There is ample seating throughout the establishment to watch the 3 large flat screen TVs.
Walking into the lounge you are warmly greeted by Brian Berk who has over 17 years in the cigar business. Rest assured that once you speak with Brian you will be back again.
You will quickly notice the walls of cigars and the long black granite bar. Beyond the bar, there are two comfortable seating areas with leather chairs and large glass-top cocktail tables. The wall is decorated with signed guitars from Brian’s personal collection in addition to rare, big game heads including an exotic Ram and a huge Water Buffalo that looks over the seating area. Did I mention this is the Mancave? You may not be able to have this in your home but you can certainly make the Mancave your home away from home.
If you are like me, and like to have conversation with other lovers of the leaf, you will find the clientele are friendly and always open to a good chat. I did not find the Mancave to be snobby or snooty and there is a good mix of both Brothers and Sisters of the leaf on any given day.
The Mancave Cigar Lounge offers free wi-fi and there are weekly and monthly specials on cigars and beverages. If you are a local or spending the winters down south, they have plenty of cigar lockers where you can store your sticks along with your choice beverages for when you visit. They also have a large selection of humidors, lighters, and ash trays for your every need.
The second Thursday of every month the Mancave Cigar Lounge hosts a special cigar event by a featured manufacturer along with live music and raffles of cigars and cigar gear. This Thursday, March 12th, you can meet Billy Perdomo from Perdomo Cigars.
The Mancave cigar lounge is open 7 days a week from 10 AM. They close at midnight Sunday through Thursday and 2AM on Friday and Saturday so finding a quality stick and friendly atmosphere should never be an issue again.
You can get social with them on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram and their website provides update information on specials, events, and news about the lounge.
The Mancave Cigar Lounge can be reached at 754-200-4144 OR 954-MANCAVE. So check it out if you are down in south Florida and let Brian know Boston Jimmie from Stogie Press says hi.
