As reported on the Villiger Cigars North America Facebook Page, the company has added South East Regional Sales Manager. The company has tapped the semi-pro baseball player, Roger Peña to fill the new position.

The post notes that Peña was born in the Dominican Republic and “embodies Dominican culture, as his passion burns for baseball, and of course, cigars.”
Roger graduated from TCI University in New York and has worked in the healthcare field for a number of years, while also playing semi-pro baseball in a number of independent leagues.
Villiger Cigars states:
“..his passion for tobacco went unfulfilled. He is now able to satisfy his desire to work in the tobacco industry, as his cigar hobby has now turned into his profession. We at Villiger Cigars welcome Roger to the Villiger team!
Rene Castañeda, President of Villiger Cigars North America, went on and praised Peña by stating:
