Warped Cigars announced the latest addition to their Corto line at this years IPCPR. This time, a light pressed 46 ring gauge robusto, aptly named the Corto X46. Kyle Gellis and his team were crazy busy at the IPCPR, so I was not able to get time to sit with him this year as they were inking deals. Lucky for me though, my good friend and Stogie Press associate Alton Otto, gifted me a Corto X46 to try. Thanks Alton you know it is appreciated!
The Corto X46, is the little brother to the Corto X50 which we reviewed last year and is now being retired. As noted in the press release for the Corto X46, it is the same blend as the X50, featuring all 100% Nicaraguan Aganorsa leaf.
Kyle kept it simple and made this years just a slightly narrower and the same 4.5 inch length. Like the Corto X50, it is available in 25-count boxes and have an MSRP of $8.50 per cigar.
Let’s see how this years Corto X46 stacks up to its retiring brother.

- I guess that’s it!
Overall, the Corto X46 would make its bigger brother the X50 proud. It delivered outstanding flavor and burn. The ash did not hold nearly as long as the X50 though. I did not find the maple and nut in the X46 but instead it offered honey and cocoa – go figure. Just like the X50, I took the X46 to the nub also!
I just picked one up today. Going to smoke it tomorrow. Can’t wait to try!
Let me know what you think.
