Alpha Cigar Co. is announcing the launch of it’s latest exclusive cigar, the Édition New Orleans, in July 2017, in honor of the Absinthe Capital of the United States, New Orleans, otherwise known as #NOLA or the Big Easy. It’s the birthplace of the Sazerac cocktail, which uses an absinthe wash in the glass to imbue the cocktail with a hint of the green spirit we love so much.
Sticking by our commitment to excellent construction and burn, we will be using Olor Dominicano, a native Dominican leaf, for our binders and pairing them with a variety of wrappers in San Andres Maduro, San Andres Claro, and Ecuadorian Connecticut. For those of you that have been following Alpha Cigar Co., these may sound familiar.
What makes the Édition New Orleans so special you might ask?
The New Orleans exclusive will deliver bold flavors in a bite-size package of half corona (3.5 x 46), while keeping our proprietary blend of Absinthe, with undisclosed Cuban-seed fillers hand-bundled within our signature infused binder leaf.
As always, we are keeping the process natural and using a premium French Absinthe distilled from 15 different herbs to infuse the binder leaves. New Orleans has a special place in our hearts and we hope to capture the spirit of New Orleans in these cigars.

“the bourbon and sugar and mint going down warm and brown, syrup and slow; and all the ice cubes melting in all the iced teas, all the slow-faced people sitting in all the slowly rocking rockers…”
