Another year begins and it is time for new product announcements from the cigar industry, I think these announcements are more popular than the numerous Cigar of the Year lists. Today, James Brown and his Black Works Studio have announced the release of the INTERGALACTIC.

James Brown, creator of BLTC and partner at Fabrica Oveja Negra noted:

“Intergalactic is a unique cigar for Black Works Studio. I would consider it in a more traditional wheelhouse in terms of its overall profile with a definite Oveja Negra twist. The blend starts with bold spice followed by herbal and cedar notes. The finish is a balance of different layers. The spice and earthy notes of the Nicaragua filler tobaccos are gently brought together with the creamy, subtle sweetness of the dark Sumatra wrapper. This cigar is both bold and subtle all at the same time.”

The Intergalactic has a blend described as:

  • Wrapper: Dark Sumatra
  • Binder: Ecuador Habano
  • Filler: Nicaraguan

It comes expressed in 2 vitolas each packaged in 20-count boxes:

  • Robusto (5.5×50) – MSRP $10.50
  • Corona Larga (6.25×46) – MSRP $10.50

In a galaxy far far away, it is hand crafted at Fabrica Oveja Negra in Esteli, Nicaragua.. The company noted that the INTERGALACTIC is a Limited Edition cigar and it will begin shipping to select BLK WKS retailers next week. Belgium and Germany will also receive it later this month.
