Cigar News: Crowned Heads Announces Four Kicks Mule Kick LE 2019

Ever since its introduction in 2012, the Crowned Heads Mule Kick LE has been a sought after cigar by Crowned Heads fans and cigar enthusiasts nationwide. The company has been releasing variation of the LE over the years showcasing some of the best leaf money can buy.

The original Mule Kick LE 2012, featured a higher priming Habano wrapper and a slightly altered blend to the OR Four Kicks brand. The Mule Kick LE 2012 was limited to just 5,000 cigars, when released to the market, and it was greeted with rave reviews.

The company re-released the OR Mule Kick in 2017 and then in 2018 they released the Four Kicks Mule Kick LE 2018 that used the OR Mule Kick blend but was wrapped with a Connecticut (Habano) maduro leaf.

Now the company announced today, the introduction of the Four Kicks Mule Kick LE 2019. Building on the previous years blend, this year’s rendition sports an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper.

Jon Huber, Crowned Heads co-founder described the importance of that wrapper to the blend:

“Mule Kick is and LE that holds a special place in all our hearts. We’re always looking towards not necessarily re-inventing the wheel, but how can we innovate and improve upon existing ideas. I’ve always maintained that (Ernesto Perez-Carrillo) is the master of Sumatra wrapper and once we smoked the samples, we immediately knew that the Sumatra wrapper added another dimension of flavor and layer of complexity to the Mule Kick blend”

Crowned Heads will be manufacturing the Four Kicks Mule Kick LE 2019 at Tabacalera La Alianza, S.A. in the Dominican Republic, under the supervision of Cigar Aficionado Hall of Fame member, Ernesto Perez-Carrillo. Ernesto just happens to be the proud recipient of Cigar Aficionado’s 2018 Cigar of the Year, with his Encore Majestic. So working with Ernesto is a good choice for sure.

The Four Kicks Mule Kick LE 2019 will begin shipping in March. With demand expected to be heavy, the company is producing 25,000 of this years LE and they be packaging them in 10-count boxes. The MSRP has been set at $10.95/cigar.
