Cigar News: Crowned Heads To Debut Announces LE Patissier at PCA 2022

Crowned Heads has announced that it will debut the Le Patissier brand at the 2022 PCA Convention and Trade show in Las Vegas, July 9-12.

Le Patissier originally came onto the premium cigar scene as a 2021 PCA Exclusive release. Launched as a (6 1/2″ x 44) parejo, the limited production cigar quickly developed a cult following, garnering a reputation for excellence amongst the global cigar cognoscenti. Now one year later, Le Patissier is being released as a regular production brand, available in (4) new vitolas. Originally inspired by another Crowned Heads brand, Le Careme, Le Patissier is similar in brand language and inspiration, but is dramatically different in terms of blend and flavor profile.

Crowned Heads co-founder, Jon Huber commented:

“We knew going into last year’s PCA show that we had something special in the Le Patissier blend. Having said that, dialing that blend down into a 44 ring gauge was a challenge as we could only use lower priming wrappers that would yield a thinner cover leaf. Immediately after the release, we went to work on re-purposing the Le Patissier blend into a slightly larger ring gauge range, and it took the flavor profile and performance to the next level.

The result is a Broadleaf (CT) expression that is completely unique to any of our previous forays with that wrapper.”

Le Patissier will be available in (4) classic vitolas:

  • Senadores (6 1/8″ x 48)
  • No. 50 (4 3/8″ x 50)
  • Canonazo (5 7/8″ x 52)
  • No. 54 (5 3/8″ x 54)

The blend us described as:

  • Wrapper – Grade A Dark Connecticut (Broadleaf)
  • Binder – Nicaraguan
  • Filler – Nicaragua and Costa Rica

Le Patissier has a suggested retail price range of $10.50 to $12.00 per cigar and is manufactured at Tabacalera Pichardo in Esteli, Nicaragua. Shipping will begin July 2022.
