Cigar News: Fratello Cigars Announces The Texan – Exclusive to Texas Retailers

Omar de Frias and Fratello Cigars announced today, the special launch of The Texan.   This blend will be sold exclusively to retailers in Texas and will be part of a series of state releases by Fratello.   

The Texan has a blend that is described as:

  • Wrapper – HVA Ecuador
  • Binder – Sumatra
  • Filler – Piloto Cubano Ligero, Andullo, Esteli Ligero, and Pennsylvania Ligero

In announcing this special cigar, de Frias stated:

“We went full body and our largest cigar format to date. The balance of The Texan, with as much ligero as it has, is simply incredible.”

Things are done big in Texas and the Fratello Cigars “The Texan” is no exception as it weighs in at 7 1/8 x 58.

The Fratello Cigars “The Texan” comes packaged in 20-count boxes and carries an MSRP of $11.00.

Described as a full body smoke, The Texan is produced at the “La Aurora” Factory in the Dominican Republic and will be officially launched in November 2019.

Similar to the Fratello DMV, which was released and exclusively sold in D.C. Maryland, Virginia and Delaware, Fratello will donate a portion of the proceeds to the Texas Cigar Merchant Association.   

The Texan joins the ranks of a series of state releases with each being different and tailored to each state. 

In closing the press release, de Frias exclaimed:

“We will be planning events throughout Texas for the launch of The Texan.”
