LAMPERT CIGARS added its 12 YO rum – LAMPERT RUM – to their U.S. portfolio. The rum is made in Panama and aged for 12 years in white oak barrels previously used as bourbon barrels.
The rum has aromas of buttery wet oak, kola nut and pistachio, vanilla, orange blossom, dried fruit, and toffee before you get subtle hint of anise on the nose. On the palate, dried coconut balanced against the fine line between sweet and dry as it cascades through cream soda, dark fruit, vanilla custard, toasted oak, and toasted coconut before showing dry, toasted wood with a hint of anise. The palate remains well balanced on the long finish.
