Cigar News: RVGN Rauchvergnügen and Raumzeit Announce the Weltschmerz

RVGN Rauchvergnügen and Raumzeit, has announces the Weltschmerz – the third regular blend in the company’s portfolio. Weltschmerz is the second blend engineered within their partnership with Claudio Sgroi.

Weltschmerz is German for “a feeling of melancholy and world-weariness“. It’s a cigar for the darker moments of life. The cigar is dark, the aromas complex, the feeling soothing. The company describes the aromatic experience of Weltschmerz as “Back in the rolling hills of home. The oven still warm, childhood memories in the air. All is well.”

Weltschmerz is a longfiller cigar, hand-rolled for by Tabacalera Tambor in Nicaragua:

  • Wrapper: Ecuador – Habano Oscuro
  • Binder: Nicaragua – Jalapa
  • Filler: Nicaragua – Esteli & Jalapa

The blend is extremely flavor-forward and of medium strength.

The company notes:

The first impression of Weltschmerz is characterized by mahogany wood, a whiff of stable, and a little lavender. The cold draw reveals chocolate, raisins, candied orange, a stable on a green meadow and some mint. Its smoke combines aromas of green grass, sandy soil, hazelnuts, warm hugs, toast, minerals, and raw oak with notes of vanilla, blueberries, understanding, the husk of a cracked coconut, toasted walnuts, and darkness.”
