Sinistro Cigars, has announced the release of the NV Project – a well aged corojo maduro that is best describe by Sinistro’s own Coleman Fine:
“The NV project is very dear to James and I. We’re showcasing our Corojo from a small farm that we purchased a few years back with El Artista. Thankfully, the farm was being run partially by El Artista, and they saved some of the Corojo wrappers from previous crops. We lost a lot of the wrapper (35-40%) during the Maduro process, which is the reason we had to limit this years run to 10 retailers. On the cigar band are 2 gold coins. An Armenian “N” and a Syrian (Arabic) “V” symbolizing James’ and my heritage.”
Sinistro Cigars produced only 300 boxes of 20 cigars for this release and they used Tabacalera El Artista in the Dominican Republic to hand craft them. Although this release is limited, the company did note they expect them to be an annual release and there may be additional sizes in the future. Currently they will be available in two popular vitolas:
- Robusto (5 x 52) – MSRP $20.00
- Toro (6 x 54) – MSRP $25.00
The blend is described as:
- Wrapper – 10-year aged corojo maduro
- Binder – Indonesian Sumatra
- Filler – Dominican piloto cubano ligero, Nicaraguan ligero, Pennsylvania Ligero, and Olor Dominicano
The company stated that the NV Project will be limited to 10 retailers, each getting 30 boxes (15 robusto, 15 toro).
