Greenville, South Carolina based, Stogie Road Cigars™ has announced their latest cigar release – the Sweet Grass Gringo. In collaboration with Tabacalera Kafie factory in Danli, Honduras, the Sweet Grass Gringo was originally set to hit the US market in mid March, but the advent of COVID-19, the company was not able to get the shipment. That has all changed, as the cigars will be in the states by the end of the week and ready to be shipped.
Described as a mild to medium cigar, with notes of sweet grass, hay, cream and all spice, the 6 x 52 barberpole-style toro has a blend defined as:
- Wrapper – Ecuador shade grown Connecticut/Nicaraguan Candela
- Binder – Honduran
- Filler – Nicaraguan and Honduran
The company noted;
This is the first Connecticut/candela barber pole available.
Kerr Viajante, owner of Stogie Road Cigars stated:
“I fell in love after smoking the Fuente 8-5-8 candela. When Gaby and I were discussing what was next for Stogie Road Cigars™, I wanted to produce a unique barber-pole using candela. Not in the look, but in the flavor; the SweetGrass Gringo delivers!”
Dr. Kafie of Tabacalera Kafie, the factory that handcrafts the cigar, noted:
“Our goal at Tabacalera Kafie is to give each one of our manufacturing partners their proprietary blends, which support and represent their boutique cigar company is a truly special way. This blend does exactly that”.
The journey continues down the Stogie Road. The Sweet Grass Gringo will be the second blend released by Stogie Road Cigars™ following the release of the EdiciònXXXV in 2019.
Stogie Road Cigars™ is a supporter of boutique cigar brands and a proud
member of the Boutique Cigar Association. The Sweet Grass Gringo will be the first release of sister blends using candela in a barber pole-style. All cigars will be produce in small batches and exclusively sold through brick and mortar establishments in the United States.
The Sweet Grass Gringo has an MSRP of $12.00/cigar . It a limited release and will be part of the Stogie Road Cigar line up.
