Swinger Cigar Company announced today, the decision to cease doing business. The company founded in 2014 by Ryan Gallimore was built with the idea that people love cigars and people love golf, so why not have a cigar company that focused on that combination. Their introductory line of the Front 9 and the Back 9, along with the line addition of the 1895 and Putt-Putt Cigars were introduced to the market at the New Orleans IPCPR in 2015. Many retailers and vendors at the show remember the “Swinger Golf Cart” that transported tired attendees from one end of the long convention hall to the other during that show.

Ryan Gallimore was also a principal organizer of the Save the Leaf event held in Washington D.C. back in August 2016. The event included 3 days of meetings and gatherings of Brothers and Sisters of the Leaf from across the United States and culminated in a march on the US Capital to protest the deeming FDA regulations on the premium cigar industry.

It saddens me to say that I have decided to close Swinger Cigar Company, a brand I created that merged my love of cigars with a love of golfing.
Over the past four yearsI have been blessed to work with multiple factories, spending extensive time in both Santiago, Dominican Republic, and Estelí, Nicaragua to design and develop twenty-two (22) SKUs and bring them to market. I met with families that taught me so much about tobacco, the culture of each country, and stories of Cuban history. It was an opportunity that was beyond humbling.
I want to thank my over 100 retail partners across the United States who helped support the brand these last four years, welcomed me into their shops, their homes and followed my journey.
To all the consumers who I was able to meet, herf with, share stories and follow on social media: it was a pleasure. I hope our friendships continue.
To all the media who supported me and told my story: thank you. I wouldn’t have been able to have any success in this endeavor without your help.

Product Availability

Swinger Cigar Company will cease the manufacture and distribution of all Swinger Cigar Company products. Swinger Cigar Company will continue to maintain the trademarks on the following:

Putt-Putt Cigar.
