League of Fat Bastards (LOFB) may have one of the more unusual names in the premium cigar industry, but behind that name is a company with a serious mission. Founded by Australian entrepreneur Adam Levine, a former lawyer and investment banker, the company was established to bring men together through the enjoyment of premium cigars while encouraging open conversations about men’s mental health.
Levine’s vision grew out of his own personal experiences and his belief that men often struggle to discuss their emotional well-being. The company has committed to dedicating 40% of its profits to supporting men’s mental health initiatives, combining a passion for premium cigars with a charitable mission.
Even the name has meaning. “League” represents a brotherhood of individuals supporting one another, while “Fat” refers to the expression “chewing the fat,” or engaging in meaningful conversation. “Bastards” adds a deliberately irreverent touch to the brand’s identity.

To bring his vision to life, Levine partnered with the renowned Joya de Nicaragua factory in Estelí, Nicaragua, working with Juan Martinez and the factory’s blending team to develop the company’s premium cigar offerings.
The company’s first release, Serie L, introduced smokers to the brand. In November 2024, League of Fat Bastards followed with its second blend, the Serie O, designed to deliver a richer and more robust smoking experience.
The Serie O features a Mexican San Andrés Negro Oscuro wrapper over a Dominican binder and a selection of Nicaraguan filler tobaccos from the Condega and Jalapa growing regions.
For this review, I sampled the League of Fat Bastards Serie O Robusto, a 5 × 50 vitola.

Pre-Light Examination
The League of Fat Bastards Serie O Robusto is presented in a dark brown, toothy wrapper exhibiting some attractive marbling, minimal visible veins, and a slight oily sheen. The cigar is tightly packed and well rolled, with a neatly applied cap completing the construction.

The cigar is adorned with an eye-catching two-band presentation featuring shades of mint green, turquoise, brown, and metallic silver.

The primary band features a circular brown-colored medallion bordered by metallic silver accents. The words “League of Fat Bastards” arch across the upper portion, surrounding the company’s interlocking LOFB monogram and a small red crown. The Roman numerals MMXXIII (2023) appear beneath the emblem. Extending from the medallion is a pale mint-green panel with brown zigzag borders and metallic silver trim displaying “SERIE O” in white lettering, accompanied by a small LOFB crown logo.
A separate secondary band reinforces the company’s charitable mission. Set against a pale blue background with iridescent holographic borders, it prominently displays “40%” in bold red lettering, followed by the statement “OF PROFITS DEDICATED TO SUPPORTING MEN’S MENTAL HEALTH.”

The reverse of the primary band is predominantly white, featuring an embossed circular design and the copper-colored slogan:
“PREMIUM CIGARS THAT FEEL GOOD, SO THAT YOU CAN TOO.”
Running the barrel along the nose revealed very little discernible aroma, while the foot offered subtle notes of pepper and cocoa.

After slicing the cap, I proceeded with the cold draw, which was just a tad more open than preferred. Nevertheless, it delivered an intriguing combination of spicy red pepper flakes and earthy notes, providing a promising introduction to the smoking experience.
Cigar Smoking Journey
First Third
The first puffs of the League of Fat Bastards Serie O Robusto greeted the palate with a dose of peppery spice, particularly pronounced on the retrohale. A white ash began forming on a thin char line, developing an attractive stacking-dimes appearance. The cigar delivered a mouth-filling volume of smoke with each draw.

After approximately an inch of burn, the initial pepper began to ease back as smooth cream notes entered the profile, providing a pleasant balance to the early spice. Deeper into the first third, a subtle hint of vanilla joined the mix, accompanied by a delicious natural tobacco sweetness that rounded out the flavor experience. The ash eventually fell in a solid chunk, revealing a decent burn cone.

Second Third
Moving into the second third, the profile developed further as dark cocoa notes entered the mix, adding depth to the existing cream and natural sweetness. A bright citrus rind note followed, providing a refreshing contrast to the darker cocoa component and bringing an additional dimension to the experience.

The Serie O continued to burn slowly, allowing plenty of time to appreciate the developing flavor profile. Meanwhile, the strength began to inch upward as the cigar progressed.

The combination of dark cocoa, citrus rind, and lingering natural sweetness made this portion of the smoking experience particularly enjoyable.
Final Third
As the cigar transitioned into the final third, the spice component increased, becoming a more prominent feature of the profile. A subtle hint of espresso joined the mix, adding a darker, roasted dimension to the finish. Complementing these notes was a pleasant, sweet, syrupy aroma that added another layer to the overall experience.

The strength continued its gradual progression, eventually reaching a medium-plus level by the final third. The cigar maintained an enjoyable balance between its darker flavor components and the increased spice as the smoking experience came to a close.

The total smoking time was 1 hour and 20 minutes ending in a medium-full strength.
Final Analysis

The League of Fat Bastards Serie O Robusto delivered an enjoyable smoking experience with a well-developed flavor progression and solid construction. The cigar opened with a noticeable dose of peppery spice before settling into a creamy profile complemented by vanilla and natural tobacco sweetness. The introduction of dark cocoa and citrus rind in the second third provided additional complexity, while the final third brought increased spice, espresso, and an inviting syrupy aroma.
From a construction standpoint, the cigar performed well. Although the cold draw was slightly more open than preferred, it produced an ample volume of smoke throughout the smoking experience. The slow burn, thin char line, and solid stacking-dimes ash were additional positives.
The gradual increase in strength to medium-plus complemented the developing flavor profile without overwhelming the palate. The Serie O Robusto is a cigar worth considering for enthusiasts who appreciate a combination of natural sweetness, darker cocoa notes, and a measured progression of spice. With its distinctive flavor profile and the company’s commitment to supporting men’s mental health, the Serie O Robusto offers both an enjoyable smoking experience and a story worth sharing.
