CRA Delivers An Open Letter To The Presidential Candidates for the United States

Presidential Candidates

August 5, 2016

The Cigar Rights of America (CRA) today, has taken the  fight against the FDA to the highest level, by sending an open letter to the top 3 presidential candidates Donald J. Trump, Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton, and Governor Gary Johnson.

According to the CRA:

CRA has issued an open letter to Donald J. Trump, Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton, and Governor Gary Johnson to share our message on how the FDA is trying to destroy small businesses, cause economic and political harm to our Latin American trading partners, and infringe upon your freedom to enjoy premium cigars.

The Letter itself can be read here.

The CRA further asks the following of  all cigar enthusiasts:

Over the next three months, we encourage you to take action and let your voice be heard.  From contacting the individual candidates and their campaigns to share your opinion, to attending a campaign rally/event to let your voice be heard…don’t let the remaining three months pass without acting to protect your cigar rights.

In addition to attending a political rally/event and writing your representatives, you can also support the upcoming SaveTheLeaf.org Capital Herf and March on the Capital this coming Monday, August 8th, in Washington DC. All information about this peaceful march on the can be found on the SaveTheLeaf.org website. If you can not attend you may want to consider visiting your local cigar shop and enjoying one in solidarity with your fellow Brothers and Sisters of the leaf while posting photos and videos throughout the day to continue to build awareness.

Save The Leaf is an organization started up immediately after the FDA announced that they will be placing strict regulations on the cigar industry. Save The Leaf was founded by consumers, retailers, and brand owners to build national awareness around how these regulations will undoubtedly place many brands in jeopardy of going out of business through the daunting paperwork, pre-marketing submission requirements and user’s fees requirements.
