IPCPR News: Bugatti Group Cigars and Innovative Lighters

Every year when I return from the International Premium Cigar and Pipe Retailers (IPCPR), now known as the Premium Cigar Association (PCA), Trade Show, fellow cigar enthusiasts ask me what’s new? Today I am here to report on something unique and innovative from this high end cigar and accessory company.

While most of the show is dedicated to cigars, the Bugatti Group was showcasing their new Vulcan and Mirage lighters. What makes these lighters unique, is they come with replaceable fuel pods and burner heads. Instead of having to refill them with the traditional can of butane gas, they use small 18 ml, disposable fuel pods instead. The company told me the fuel pods will last for about 30 days before needing to be replaced, depending on the amount of use. You can also pop out the fuel pod and refill a friends normal butane lighter if they need some gas.

Additionally, the burner head is easily replaceable, so you won’t need to send the lighter back to be serviced. You can just pop the burner off and replace it with another without any special tools. Each lighter comes with two replaceable heads.

There are two offerings in this innovative line, the Mirage and the Vulcan, each of which come in six different color options:

  • Gun metal accented with either black, green or red color
  • Chrome accented with blue, purple or yellow color

The Mirage comes with a flip-up lid and the Vulcan integrates an adjustable angled neck. Both lighters have an MSRP of $99.99.

These make great gifts for your cigar loving friends. You should start to see the Bugatti Vulcan and Mirage showing up in retailers across the US, now that the trade show is over.

At the show, the Bugatti Group representative, demonstrated the lighter operation for us.

  • I got a Vulcan blue from Cigars International. It’s GREAT if you can justify the $99 price tag. I’m thinking it’ll last years……….
