I received the sample from PDR Cigars at the 2015 IPCPR.

According to the PDR Cigars website::

“The Small Batch Habano shows a beautiful oily reddish Brazilian Habano wrapper leaf. This blend holds a special place in our hearts at PDR. Because of this blend we found that it reached a different crowed of cigar enthusiast that we met at a few retailer cigar events..”

  • Waxy reddish-brown wrapper
  • Nicely finished triple cap
  • Some prominent veins
  • Cold draw provides notes of wood and spice
  • Initial puffs offered notes of leather, spice, wood, and chocolate
  • Fruit enters after inch of burn
  • Solid dark grey ash
  • Touch of sweetness fills in the background
  • Floral aroma
  • Shiny wrapper
  • Oak flavor finds its way in
  • Ash holds tight for 2 inches
  • Woody flavor continues to dominate through the second third
  • Hint of butter builds  in the background

  • Took it down to the nub
