We are getting close to the end of the year and that means it’s time for the Stogie Press Top 25 Boutique Cigars of the year. Today I present the first 5 candidates for the list. As always we will announce the candidates in groups of 5 over the next two weeks and the final ranking will be published at the stroke of midnight December 31.

With out further adieu, here are the first 5 candidate in no particular order:

Felix Assouline EGO Gold 24 CT
Felix Assouline EGO Gold 24 CT

The Felix Assouline EGO Gold 24 CT cigar had a full body of flavor from foot to nub and had pristine burn qualities including a well-formed and centered burn cone and crisp burn line throughout.

Potter Cigars Salomon Black

Potter Cigars Salomon Black
Potter Cigars Salomon Black

The Potter Cigars Salomon Black is one I would say is worth the price. The smoke started and remained smooth throughout while the flavor profile was indeed full and complex.

Cornelius and Anthony The Mistress Robusto

The Cornelius & Anthony Mistress was a spectacular cigar that offered flavor from foot to nub. The smoke was full and the burn was trouble-free. Strength wise, this is not for the faint of heart .

Crown Heads Court Reserve XVIII

The Crown Heads Court Reserve XVIII is certainly one of the best cigars to come out of Crowned Heads and as a tribute to its fans, the Crowned Heads team certainly delivered. There was a full body of balanced flavor through the journey with a solid medium strength that should be enjoyable to any cigar lover.

The “K” by Karen Berger Connecticut

The  “K” by Karen Berger Connecticut had no issues in the burn and construction while delivering palate pleasing flavors including spice, chocolate, butter, and fruit.

Stay tuned to Stogie Press over the next two weeks as we complete the candidate list for our Top 25 Boutique Cigars for 2018.
