Cigar News: Alec Bradley Now Shipping the Most Important Fine & Rare Release: HOF / 506

Alec Bradley Cigar Co. today announced that the Fine & Rare HOF / 506 is now shipping to tobacconists worldwide. According to Alec Bradley brand owner, Alan Rubin, the Fine & Rare HOF / 506 is the most important of the Fine & Rare releases since its inception. The reason being is that this year’s release pays homage to the life and legacy of Alan’s father, David Rubin, who passed away in late 2018.

Alan said:

“My father brought joy to everyone around him. The only way I knew how to spread joy in his honor was through a cigar that was dedicated to him.”

Alan and David worked alongside each other since 1982. The father and son team built a successful fastener business together. After selling the fastener business, Alan went on to start Alec Bradley Cigar Company, as David went into retirement.

David’s retirement did not last long, though. David joined Alan again at Alec Bradley. During this time, they both watched as Alan’s two sons, Alec and Bradley, came on board at the cigar company that bears their names. Beginning in 2017, there were three generations of Rubin’s in the Alec Bradley offices.

Bradley Rubin noted:

“Getting to work beside my grandfather, father and brother at the same time is a unique situation that most people aren’t fortunate enough to experience. My grandfather’s work ethic and enthusiastic personality is something I will never forget and keeps me motivated every day I wake up. We are an extremely blessed family.”

Alec Rubin reminisced:

“My early years working at the offices are filled with memories of my grandfather and lessons he gave me. That has helped mold me into the man I am today. I hope to carry those lessons in my personal life and into the future of the company.”

Fine & Rare is a yearly limited edition cigar that Alec Bradley has done since 2011. The Fine & Rare has gone through many different iterations and vitolas over the years, but the concept of the cigar revolves around using ten different aged and rare tobaccos. Fine & Rare HOF / 506 is expressed in a single (6 1/4 X 54) Boxed Pressed Gran Toro.

The Alec Bradley Fine & Rare HOF / 506 is presented in an ornate 10-count box. The cigar brands prominently display a photo of David Rubin on the front, on the back are the words: “In Honor Of David Rubin.” All 2,500 boxes have been sold for global distribution and are exclusive to Appointed Tobacconists. US SRP has been set at $21.90 per cigar before any applicable taxes.
