Cigar News: Black Star Line Cigars Announces Jean Baptiste Cigar

Black Star Line Cigars will be releasing the highly anticipated Jean Baptiste cigar very soon. This is a special release that was made for Binnys Beverage Depot.

Owner Aric Bey states:

“This is a great way to pay homage to Jean Baptiste Pointe Dusable. He is the founder of Chicago and many don’t know he is a Haitian man.”

Thw Jean Baptiste Cigar blend is described as:

  • Wrapper – Aganorsa’s Corojo 2012
  • Binder – Nicaraguan
  • Filler – Nicaraguan

Jean Baptiste is currently a (6 x 52) toro vitola, which the company describes as medium-full body and will be sold in 10 count bundles. MSRP for the cigars will be around $11.99.

Bey added:

“As a retired Chicago firefighter I love shining light on the history of Chicago. This is a great city and I want people to know more about it.”

The cigars were severely delayed making it into the states because of a customs issue with the bands. The cigars will reach Binnys warehouse August 28th. Black Star Line Cigars is still attempting to have a launch party with Binnys if the scheduling permits. The first order for Jean Baptiste is 3000 cigars (300 bundles). The demand for the cigar will determine if it will be regular production or a limited edition release.
