Cigar News: C.L.E. Cigar Company promotes industry veteran Robert Wright to National Sales Manager

C.L.E. Cigar Company promotes industry veteran Robert Wright to National Sales Manager. Robert has an extensive resume in the cigar industry that dates back 40 years, which includes Camacho and Davidoff Cigars. Robert Wright will step into his role immediately.

Robert Wright, born in Costa Rica, grew up in the U.S. and followed his first love, music. Robert majored in music and went on to perform professionally. The saxophone being his instrument of choice, Robert traveled extensively during his performing days. Music is his passion, but he saw an opportunity in another hobby that he loved, cigars.

Robert dove headfirst into the cigar industry and never looked back. He worked closely with Christian Eiroa during his time at Camacho Cigars and earned the position of VP of Sales. After Davidoff’s acquisition of Camacho, Robert secured the position of National Sales Manager at Davidoff Cigars. Christian came calling when he established C.L.E. Cigar Company in 2012, and Robert accepted a position as Manager of the North-East territory.

Robert still performs musically to keep feeding his soul. He draws many parallels between his performing musically and his profession in the cigar industry. Musical improvisation is Robert’s favorite way to perform musically. That talent for “in the moment” musical composition bleeds into his sales role, easily relating to people and their needs. Similarly, he’s always looking for solutions to help his team members and customers.

Chrisitan Eiroa, President of C.L.E. cigar Company stated:

“Robert Wright has been part of our team since the beginning. I can’t think of anyone better to fill this role for our company. I have all the faith that Robert will help take C.L.E. Cigar Company to even greater heights.”

Tom Lazuka, VP of Sales stated:

“I am honored to announce the promotion of Robert Wright to National Sales Manager. I have been working with Robert for exactly 20 years and couldn’t imagine a better fit for our company. With my travel demands and my dedication to the development of new products it was time for Robert to fill this role. I’m very excited for Robert and for the future of C.L.E. Cigar Company.”
